The Proof Is Out There investigates the world’s most mysterious videos, photos, and audio recordings, and uses the best technology and experts to render a credible verdict. Each episode analyzes and passes verdicts on several seemingly impossible things “caught on film,” including giant beasts, UFOS, apocalyptic sounds, hairy humans, alleged mutants from the deep, conspiracies, and many other cases. Host and veteran journalist Tony Harris takes nothing for granted in a quest for answers, tracking down eyewitnesses, putting each photo or film through a battery of tests, calling out the hoaxes, and highlighting the most credible evidence in an attempt to better understand our world.

Common sense is the most widely shared commodity in the world, for every man is convinced that he is well supplied with it.

One of King Arthur's servants found the sword in the lake. It was an ordinary sword. The sword was then brought to Merlin who was a "Wizard Of The First Order" similar to Zeddicus Z'uL Zorander. (Ref: Legend Of The Seeker). Merlin then charmed the sword with magic and named it "Excalibur."

If the steel of the sword is heat tempered enough it could be put in to lava and voila a sword in a stone

These sites are the petrified cellular remains of enormous prehistoric plants.
Grown, not built, softened by immersion, found and exploited by humans.

Maybe midieval warriors would sink weapons, armor and tools in bodies of water so no one else could use it... If it didn't fit the victor, why keep it for yourself or leave it anywhere a possible enemy would find it? If they were near a blacksmith they could repurpose it, but there's no time for that during battle. Midieval people didn't have the ability to reach the weaponry, etc if the water was deep enough.
