Does it go to standby mode when TV is not in use? If so how to stop it from going to standby or muted mode? any suggestions?

I ran my TV HDMI into a PC video capture card with HDMI pass through, then set Windows to "listen" on the device. After doing so I was able to enjoy the full quality of Companion 5 on both my PC and TV. Lastly it's worth mentioning the method in this tutorial, although technically accurate and inexpensive, will substantially degrade the signal quality. The analog input on the volume knob is terrible, night and day difference, totally worth dedicating a tinyPC, such as a Dell 3040 micro.

question, what do you do with the cord that comes from the back of the base that is normally goes to the back of the computer??

I’m doing every step you say and yet it still won’t work. From the laptop I can get sound out of the speakers but when I plug it into the tv there’s no sound??

Did this today & it works great. Question, the Tv & DTV remotes aren't able to control the volume level. Anyway to fix that?
