Bose Companion 5 - Fault

My Bose Companion 5 started acting up since last year. It first started with the volume going up and down by itself when I played music only. Then the sound started to cut off when playing music and I had to do what it was shown on this video. I had to touch the volume control pod connection behind the subwoofer and it worked okay for a while and then the sound cut off again. Now it doesn't make any difference if I touch the volume control pod connection behind the subwoofer and the sound cuts off more often when playing music, but that doesn't happen if I am watching a YouTube video. I purchased a brand new volume control pod thinking that the problem was the volume control pod. Today I connected the new volume control pod and the problem continues. I think there is something that has gone bad inside the subwoofer and most likely it could be the terminal where the volume control pod is connected. I have had the Bose Companion 5 since 2009 or 2010 and it worked well until last year.

Mine plays fine and then after about 10 minutes it starts getting distorted to the point you can’t hear the music anymore. I’ve been dealing with this problem for 11 years

I have ordered one, also with issues with the touch pad, i guess the same, if I find the problem ill do a video on it. Has anyone found out something? I assume its the module control board in the subwoofer.

NO NEED TO BUY A NEW BOSE COMPANION 5 CONTROL POD! HERE ARE INSTRUCTIONS ON THE SOLUTION FOR AN EASY FIX!

1. Unplug the power directly at the back of the woofer while the unit is on;

2. Unplug the control pod;

3. Re-seat the control pod on the back of the woofer; and

4. Plug the power cable back into the woofer.

Result: Your Control Pod Works Perfectly! «

For some reason on my companion 5 after I moved it then the control pod acts weird like when I'm turning it up I need to turn the knob more then I had to about an hour ago and it really bothers me. I moved it back to where it was that wasn't the problem I unplugged everything maybe 4 5 times and did not work if you have any help please tell me
