Cressida should just go find Lord Debling. He seemed to like her well enough, and she’s never said anything about needing to be in love. He doesn’t seem to care what other people think, and she would probably be happy enough running his household while he was gone for long periods of time.

it also couldve been solved by edwina not forcing that relationship, in every episode kate tried to tell her that man wasn't what she was looking for but she still wanted to pursue

Honestly in the disaster that was season 3 cressida was kinda the highlight for me. I think she was one of, if not the, most fleshed out character this season. Which is which i was screaming when it felt like they just threw her away.

I'm glad this video was recommended to me! You made some really great points. And I especially appreciate your point of view on Cressida Cowper, which is the opposite of how I felt about her. You opened me up to a bit of empathy toward her and I appreciate that. 🤗

I think audiences actually care a lot about Cressida after her character time let us gain empathy for her. Marina definitely got the shortest stick in the show (havent read the books). I think the poor treatment of Edwina mostly from Kate but also Anthony is brushed away as the queen promises to introduce Edwina to eligible royalty.

I have seen someone else speculate that Cressida will come back as a main love interest.

Honestly, I was hoping throughout the season that once Penelope and Eloise get back together, they somehow "adopt" Cressida into their friend group. All what Eloise learned about a non-loving family did not seem to matter in the end.

Not just women and not always Bridgertons, seeing what happened with Eloise and Theo.

Kate was pretty much the victim of the season the whole time (and a good person). I wouldn't say Edwina was ever brushed aside, made a villain, or forgotten about. At the end of the season, it seems likely she will be set up with a prince, and in season three, we find that she has married (would have liked to have seen what all happened, though). Kate had to take care of her family at 18, just as Anthony had to with his, because of the grief her mother was thrown into. She would never reach for a crust of bread if Edwina wanted it, and this self-sacrifice continued through season two. Lady Danbury also gave Kate bad advice not to rock the boat when she wanted to tell Edwina. And Edwina did the exact opposite of everything Kate advised. She did not listen to Kate's advice at all. If there was a villain in that story, it would be either Anthony for refusing love or Kate's and Anthony's mothers, but I don't know that I can villainize them for their mental issues either. I think it was a whole lot of unfortunate circumstances with no real villain. And Kate and Anthony were both kind of banished from season three too.

Penelope did not redeem herself for me. They almost seem to work towards that at certain points but then step back. The show doesn't hold her accountable, the narrative doesn't hold her accountable, so her brief stuttering steps toward it become utterly meaningless. Lady Whistledown is a great thing or so they want us to believe. Marina alone should show that. Penelope never even attempted to make things right with her.

I hope Cressida gets to meet the Ladies of Llangollen in Wales. I think there's more to Aunt Jo than meets the eye.

Obviously a villain. Just because her parents are dominating and not as good as viloet bridgerton that does not mean she should be mean. She was mean to Daphne in first season and always mean to Penelope.
