NEW 128 GB DJI Action 2 Model

Last week DJI upgraded the Action 2 series with a new refreshed model with 128 GB of built-in storage. This is great for those like myself who still use the DJI Action 2 because of its small size and wearable form factor. I tend to use the camera module only, so having that extra built-in memory would be extremely beneficial for me.

I have it (32gb) and my main issue is battery, it will die out before it even fill up, it's nice to see they did memory upgrade and made it a bit cheaper. but I wish for at least hot replaceable battery

Wow OK, that's pretty nice while vlogging for a day and doing fpv. Definitely considering buying another one with battery pack. Happy they don't let down this form factor.

Seems like they did not improve on the transfer speed to SD card or copying it off the camera directly, especially since it transfers at USB 2.0 speeds. At about a GB/min, I don’t want to wait 2 hours so it’s a hard no for me.

Mine proved unreliable lately on a more serious shoot. It kept claiming my card was too slow to store the data. An Anglebird v60 card is too slow? I don't think so. Even after turning resolution down to 1080 I had issues.

Can you compare the temperatures of this new version vs the old version that had overheating issues? I know they released that magnetic case which sends a signal to the camera which essentially throttles the CPU speed to lower the temps. However, I am hoping maybe they did a fixed thermal design inside this new version.

Two things that I think most people will miss with this updated body: 1 - Displays HD space remaining, instead of recordable time remaining. 2 - you can now use the invisible stick editor in DJI Mimo with this Action 2 (still doesn't work for the OG Action 2)

Hey! As you use it primarily as the single cube camera, what do you do when you're riding and the battery dies? How long does it last?

I do wish my action 2 had more space. I use it as my workhorse and just get a bit sick of having to transfer files all the time.

They should continue the modular line with this platform and form factor. Very bizarre release at this point, but hey it addresses some of the quirkiness. They haven't updated prices of the old models on their website, the 32GB are both listed as more expensive than the 128GB.

Sweet video! Does the 128g version of the Action 2 still have overheating issues? Or has it been fixed by DJI?

My favorite camera i bought another one wish i would have seen that 128 gb but im fine with two i have the fx3, zve1, fx30, insta ace pro, 360 and a red but im new this small thing its something about that draws my attention i feel people about the over heat but i grabbed two the duel screen and power module i think if @dji would alter the heat problem, upgrade more memory and attach a streaming cloud that would be on your phone to the internet these would be grate for our officers that serve and for us seeing how people are out here acting a fool
