This reminds me of what Insta360 did with the Go2, add more memory to an older product. I still use my Action 2, it works well for many things and the form factor is pretty great.

It makes it slightly better. To me, there were two problems: battery life and storage. I solved both by buying two action 2s, and while one was flying I brought a power module with and charged / transferred files on the other one. This just means I only need to do one of those two, and transferring files was the more annoying bit anyway.

I agree with everything in this review except saying it’s not as good as a GoPro Session. I’ve been flying this camera for years and flew sessions before that and the action 2 is tons better than the Session. Lighter, better image quality, an actual screen and more storage than the Session had. I admit the the camera gives up a lot to the full size GoPro it is still a great camera if you know how to dig into the settings.

I use action 2 for my analog quads. Finally got used to the image. It’s fine, battery life is the hardest thing to deal w. Usually lasts just long enough for a flying session (3-5 batteries)

Did they fix the exposure issues tho? lol.

I love my action 2 and literally just bought an action 4 but dji needs to address the exposure issues. The auto exposure algorithm dramatically favors under exposure when a small part of the frame is super bright and it often ruins footage. It makes the dynamic range issues even more noticeable/worse

I love the action 2 and I have all the cameras lol. Where are these cases that allow you to charge with your lipo?? Dji care is also great for fpv! I can't tell you how many replacements I've received!

If they just made it a centimeter bigger in depth noone would have cried and the bettery life would have been fine. Still dont know how they fucked this up.

Iv'e been flying with the action 2 for a couple of years now and Ive never ever cracked the front camera, its always the back camera that gets cracked. I think I will upgrade to the new model, I use to get about 4-5 flights flying at 4K60 so this helps a lot with 128g of internal storage now.

Just got this and for some reason even when the camera is fully charged and powered off. The battery on the power module is constantly draining when connected to the camera. Is this normal behaviour or is there something wrong with my battery?
