5 Things I LOVE About My FL5 Honda Civic Type-R!

👋 After owning the newest FL5 Honda Civic Type-R for a little while, here are the top 5 things I love about this car! I never thought I'd be excited to own a Honda Civic, but the new Type-R is an absolute blast to drive! I love how it handles. Absolutely takes turns like it's on rail and is a joy to blast through twisty roads. The bucket seats are comfortable and hug me so well. It just makes this 2024 Honda Civic Type-R something special to rip through the roads! I also love how it looks. The FK8 Civic Type-R looked a bit childish to me. Honestly a bit tacky with an over styled body kit. More of something I'd like as a teenager. The new FL5 Type-R is grown up and mature. Inside and out this car just looks very good. Looks more like a serious sports sedan then a cheap hot hatch. Aggressive with gloss black accents rather then cheap plastic or fake carbon fiber. The interior is simple and clean too with a modern touch. Serious a great looking car. The Drive modes are very impressive. Also owning the Audi RS3 and previously the R35 Nissan GTR. To have a Civic with adjustable dampers, steering, engine tuning and sounds is very nice! They work great and truly allow the Type-R to go from a comfortable daily, to a very tight feeling track car! I love how I can customize individual mode to setup everything about how the Type-R drive to my taste. You don't get that level of customization in most even more expensive cars! Practically goes without saying. This Type-R is a hatchback and we can fit golf bags, grocery tripes, snowboards or even whenever we need for house projects. So much room! Last ting I am enjoying is the price point. The Type-R was $45k. I traded in my $60k Supra for this. And there is something about taking a step back into a cheaper car that's still a ton of fun, but doesn't cause me to worry about it. Of course driving my Lamborghini quite a lot, I know what it's like to drive and live with an expensive car. So it's very relaxing to drive a car that I just don't even think of the cost. It's a relatively inexpensive car and I can just have fun driving it. I can park it anywhere and even if it gets some wear and tear, it doesn't bother me. Of course I will take care of the Type-R like any of my cars, but it's nice to just have a basic car I can drive worry free. I loved my Supra, but at $60k I really didn't like it sitting outside and I was much more particular with it. And for the little driving I did in the Supra, just wasn't worth it. Type-R I can drive when I want an if it ends up sitting for a few weeks getting dirty, no big deal.

For #5, I completely agree! I had an 8Y RS3 I was using as my daily and it was always dirty, lots of brake dust, I was worried about it getting hit in a parking lots, and it was overall a relatively expensive car on insurance, price, and registration. That combined with the fact the car wasn't exactly what I was hoping it would be made me sell it and lease a Tesla Model 3. Daily and driving is so carefree now.. I don't have to worry about a thing... and saving tons of money.. I still have a G87 M2 for fun drives. Great vid!
