I absolutely love this live version. Listen to those guitars cutting like a knife, and those drums with fills all over the place. Amazing.

A great clip. Too bad that back then the backup band members were unknown, and so, the cameraman didn't show us much of them. Would have loved to have seen more of Garth Hudson, Rick Danko, Richard Manuel ... Thank you so much for posting, Pete!

Punk didn't start in 1976, it started in 1966 with Dylan's electric set.

1st punk rock show known to man. Always did what he wanted when he wanted.

This intro gives me chills, everytime! I've probably listened to the first 30 seconds a million times over. Rick Danko is so G'damn raw on that bass.

Levon and the hawks help Bob change the course of history. Levon and the Hawks the tightest band then, hands down, If u saw them live Robbie was banging solos off the walls like tracer bulletts.

My favourite version of this song is from the Last Waltz. Dylan and The Band are out of this world.

Dylan was barely even playing all robbie if you look correct...Levon u can hear that snare drop and echo. If you play you know that sound.

he's playing the harp part from the record but no one else evidentally has heard the record so they are making new shit up which could be great but it's not. It is kind of stupid. Improvising is a talent and these guys were recording artists. evidentally. cuz damn.

eh nah... its alot of noise. it is Not punk rock. no one is playing together. surely you can reinterpret anything - but you gotta play ToGETHer. this is a beautiful song. they sound like they are goofin in sound check. betcha they never played it before. i mean rough.
