The guy you bought the corn from actually lost face among the people. They laughed at him and you can hear someone say to him 10:00 "he sees you as a beggar and wants to give you money"

A general note on Kurdish culture, if someone works for you, you can give them extra money for their hard work. However, at shops or stands like this where the money is fixed- giving extra money is a sign of pity/charity. We would give extra money to beggars or sometimes very poor people who don't want to be seen as begging but just sell something symbolic. However for someone who is well-off and running a business (small as it may be) they want to be seen as equals and it would hurt their pride if you didn't accept the change.
I realize that this is not the case in many Middle Eastern countries and you were doing it out of good intention, but Kurds are a bit different culturally when it comes to their social pride.

I am happy you had a good time there, the white drink you had its a yogurt drink, usually in Kurdistan they have it in smoky flavor, so you were right its the same like in Turkey and Lebanon but this is Iraqi way and Kurdistan one have a specialty too which is made with smoked yogurt.

I just found you a minute I did not search your content or what but YouTube suggested me to you....
I always watch YouTubers going to anywhere else...eat food ... exploring new culture and perhaps that is why YouTube suggested me to your channel.
Grateful knowing you and your channel .
Peace and love ❤️

What you drunk in the silver bowl, is called “Doo” in Kurdish!
This is goat milk being processed and cooked in a special way that only Kurdish people know of 😅
