Spinach & lentil curry 🍛

It's Dal...not everything is a curry. But the Palak dal is such a yummy, healthy and filling meal. Good to get your children to eat spinach aka Palak.

You don't need to wash the cooked lentils again after boiling. You can add it with its boiled water directly. It has all the nutrients in water.

One of the Indian food historian mentioned in Kunal Kapoor tv series that there isnt anything like curry in India but since every state had variety of 'curry' items and each had unique name based on ingredients as per dialect and state, it was easier for Britishers to categorised everything under one name during colonization.

In Bangladesh, we call it daal. This is one of my favorite versions my mother makes.

Don't through the water it has all the nutrients.. Instead use less water to cook and use it..
