I think "negging" is very misunderstood and misused. It's supposed to be playful and fun, not insulting. I'll give you an example: I told two ladies I was talking I need to leave early I live far, and one asked: "Where do you live?" and I replied: "You're not a stalker, are you?" Something like that.
