I noticed a typo in my table, the correct flow rate is 7.87, not 8.87. I will correct this in episode 3. I don't want to re-edit and re-upload.

Soo how does this compare to older blocks like the supremacy evo. I wish youd do a multiple comparison versus talking fir 20 minutes and showing temps versus 1 block

Just found your channel in this last week. Wow! What awesome content! Thanks for all the hardwork - really helpful for first time water coolers like myself :)

Velocity 2 is 125 euro, and Velocity is currently on sale for 68 euro. I have a ryzen 5950x. Judging by these prices, is the difference in performance worth the extra money?

Still have the old am 4 version. Still works perfectly imo. Keep up the great work and stay safe.

Daz, I've got a question about that Heatkiller Tube 100 res that you're using in the bench setup. I'm thinking of picking up a DDC version from you, I'm moving my loop to the same TT P3 case; but looks like I possibly can't use the dedicated res mount plate, as my rad is really thick (280mm XT45 with push-pull). But at the same time I don't know if I can mount directly to 140mm fans - the guide you linked in the product page says Tube 100 cannot use 30234 140mm brackets, because the tube is too short for a 140mm fan?

I see that you are using 30236 and 2 x 30263 120mm fan brackets; is it possible to do the same, but with 2 x 30264 140mm brackets?

btw love the new videos this week, been wondering since release how the new block performs since it looks so different! Keep it up man

I've had it for a week. I find it efficient but not really more than the 420mm Arctic liquid freezer 2 that I had before it. I'm using it with a 420+280mm Hardware Labs radiators and a combo pump/res from EK too. I was surprised by the mounting the waterblock from above, not very practical in my opinion... and then the tightening, without the special Torque Screwdriver 0.6Nm which is not in the package impossible to know if it is tight enough or not. I installed it with a Thermalright lga1700-bcf contact frame.

I have one very inportant question about velocity2. Block seems to be simetrical from the bottom side. But in the pictures it is always mounted with velocity2 logo - closer to memory. Can in be mounted otherwize with part with logo towards the IO shield? I'm asking because in one direction in and out holes alre closer to IO... and i MUST have them closer to RAM. Can in be mounter both ways. (I'm not thinking of mounting it 90degrees only logo close to ram and 180deg. close to IOshield)? Thank you.

I'm really enjoying this series! Do you have access to the Optimus PC waterblocks? If I remember correctly, they've claimed like 10c lower temperature with their blocks compared to the competition. Also, they apparently have very high build quality.

Ooh, this competition is getting good!

Good comparisson, is what I was looking for. Full Nickel Velocity goes for 120 USD at PPCS and the Velocity2 jumps to 190, so that's close to 50% more expensive. Don't like the fact that Velocity2 is socket limited. Then AM4/AM5 block won't wotk with LGA1700 hardware. Regards

Not a fan of Velocity ² because on the Velocity they can just bring a new balck mounting plate to mount it on future sockets on the velocity² its not possible.

How many turns would you say it took before the screw driver clicked? I'd love to feel like I mounted it right without wasting 25 on a screwdriver I'll literally only be able to use for this!!

Quite dislike the idea of Velocity2 having that "Torque screwdriver", which brings me to the idea of possible damage to the waterblock if overtightened (yes, I do get it that overtightening a socket is always a bad thing). The screwdriver itself is good though. Used it when I was doing a maintenance for my gpu waterblock, where it came to be quite handy. Had a bad thermal paste application (or, at least, wanted to cross out that assumption), for which I needed to remove the CPU block (softtube, so I didn't go and disassemble the whole thing). Having to worry about the CPU block having some damage (and can't really use a leak tester at this point), caused by overtightened screws, is an additional headache.

Want to see how the Velocity results compare to Heatkiller.
