I didn’t realize how quick this game could be played. Our playtime doubles picking names for our species. The rules comes with “scientific names” for each surface trait and my husband refuses to move on until the new species with two traits has a name.

I subbed today to WIP because of your playthrough of Oceans. Oceans has been in my wall of shame for about a year now and I even tried downloading the free app for the game to try to get a handle on the game. I never quite understood what I was doing. This playthrough made me realize how difficult I was making this game out to be in my head for no reason!

This has been on my shelf and have been wanting to try it, but it seemed too fiddly and confusing to learn. Your game play definitely helped overcome that though. Great explanations and speed of play during your turns. I think I will finally get this to the table now. Thank you!

packhunter would have been better for monique as it would have put all of naveens species at risk. He would have to focus on saving as many as possible. The filter feeder would have died, but the packhunter and the shark cleaners would have survived. also by combining pack hunter with tentacle on the apex, the shark cleaners could have gained twice, dus creating a buffer for the next round.

Looks like the game ended too early as there are two left in the reef when you ended the game
