Matt, blade guy here. 5160 springsteel is one of the best steels on the planet, next to 6150, which is 5160 with extra vanadium for corrosion resistance. While springsteel is often more for swords (I own a 3, 000$ Albion Alexandria sword that's 6150 springsteel), you should know that that is likely the best knife you've ever owned.

If you ever try to make skiff knives 2.0, look into 5160/6150.

Went to Talkeetna on a Salmon fishing trip and caught some nice Kings. Cool little hippy town. I have been all over Alaska. Helped a friend build his off grid cabin and fishing different rivers, loved it!
