I listen to these while working out/playing WoW lol. Great info man, thanks for the uploads. You have no idea how efficient you've made my job by teaching me INDEX and MATCH functions.

Hi Mike,

I need your help. Do you have a video for; SUMIFS: Month AND Year over Year Sales Calculations from Transactional Data Set? If not, could you help? Here's the scenario. Columns A & B are transactional data ( just like the video). Column E:2 would start 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020. Row F:1 would start Jan, Feb, March, April... all the way to December. From the transactional data, which eventually would be quite long, how can I get the sum of sales from each month, for each year? I only got part of the formula with a sumproduct function, but it only got it for the current year. I need next year, the following year, so on and so forth.

I always enjoy your videos. They have helped me tremendously. Thanks for all the work you do and I appreciate your help.

Hi, I have same issue as Celeste Howe. Even your file returns the calculated answer to 0. on the exact same sheet, I have your EOMONTH function for SUMIFS working just fine. I am using MAC Excel 2011.

Hi Mike,
I am trying to calculate the year to date sales from daily transnational data and compare them to last year's year to date sales. Do you have an example on that?
Because in my case it is not the full year but a period within the year.

Thanks

can you please tell me as to how to apply VLOOKUP for repeating values.
When I apply VLOOKUP in data with repeating values for each of which corresponding value may vary, it reveals the first match result.

Cool Mike, but can you tell me why doesn't the following formula works:
=sumifs($A$2:$A$5000, year($A$2:$A$5000).E2)
Thanks,
