Hyper-V Desktop Edition Switch\Network Types Explained

If you use the Hyper-V version that comes with Windows 10 or Windows 11, you may have noticed that there are several types of virtual switches you can use for your network connection. By default, Hyper-V will use the Default Switch for your internet and network settings between virtual machines and the host. You can also configure private, internal and external virtual switches to use as well with each one having their own unique connection properties for DHCP and NAT purposes.
