In the 70s the idi Amin govt which wanted to confiscate their businesses did so and evicted them. The Indians had been living there for over 150 years and had no where to go and could only leave with a suitcase no money or jewellery.

They were taken in by UK and some went to USA within 2 decades they were very successful they had bought and started many corporations.
