Your last words are truly powerful and spot on. But that question needs to be asked of our people.

You’re doing an excellent job of exposing the history behind the history.

This is a pronounced case of Actions Speak louder then words, certain labels bring unwanted attention, don’t throw dirt on her name

That's true, but she still did a good deed, and had to be uner extreme pressure and danger, sobi can still salute her for her efforts even if the didn't want to be known as an abolitionists. Her home was raided, and you know she received death threats, I'm guessing if she died it would have made you happy....she's a female, and she did a good deed, while other white women would set our men up for slaughter.

One of my ancestors was beaten unconscious for trying to learn to read, we all need to do better.

I don’t fault her for not wanting to risk her safety by being labeled an abolitionist! Her efforts would have supplied the community with 20 people that could have taken that education and paid it forward. Sounds like a good deed gone unnoticed.

If there is a quote to summarizes this video it's, "Only a fool would let his enemy educate his children" - Malcolm X
