A lot of you got this right! This is the Middle cerebral artery (you can identify the fetal Skull around and we are looking at the circle of Willis).
The MCA doppler is useful in
1. Detecting fetal anemia in Rh iso immunized pregnancies
2. In IUGR, determining brain sparing effect and calculating the cerebro placental ratio.

MCA Doppler done for PSV for RH isoimmunization to check for fetal anemia if more tha. 1.5 MoM and to monitor FGR babies after 32 weeks for follow up of brain sparing effect if PI less than 5th centile or calculate CPR
