The Difference Between Arteries & Veins

Couple quick notes:
Deoxygenated blood is dark red, while oxygenated blood is more bright red.

Veins have somewhere around 10% the pressure a comparatively sized artery would, which also assists in venous return.

Arteries can be elastic, muscular, or some combination of both.

I took human anatomy in college and we have human cadaver dissection. Let me tell you that seeing what our bodies look like from the inside is absolutely astounding. You really can't grasp everything that is going on unless you see it in person.
