Joe Biden has concluded his first trip abroad as US President. In an exhausting schedule he met with friends and he met with foes. In intensive talks with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin in Geneva, Biden cast himself as an advocate of liberal values-based democracy. He also highlighted what he sees as the military and economic threat posed by Russia and, above all, China.

US to Europe : don't buy this huawei technology China will be wire taping you.
US hacking into EU telecommunication systems with the help of some Europeans: oh yes, only us are allowed to wire tap you.

I'm stunned by this kind of talks about China with speakers who have absolutely no clue about the Chinese, why don't they just bring in the Europeans who are part of the trillions EU China trade and work with the Chinese on daily basis? Or DW just doesn't want people to know the truth?

Europe needs to have its independent policy based on its own interests.

The lady in blue coat, she brings out very strong points. The US is afraid of Chinese economy and not Chinese culture. US once had similar policies towards Japan because Japan was developing too fast. If it were about human rights, then why is the West jealous of Chinese investments in Africa, while these investments help poorer countries develop?

The US needs some help to keep it's own hegemony. The littel brothers share the same bed but have different dreams. The Anglo-Saxon "divide and conquer" will not work this time.

The views on China are being fed by US global desires. Westerners living in China for an extended period of time have a very different view of things.

This is NOT true: "Chinese people can study abroad now and travel, before a decade ago, China was completely closed, people didn't have these privileges like people have in Europe and in the us." Through this dialog, what I only see is bias.

In the past like 90s Chinese people were really admiring the western-styled democratic system and believed that they were heading towards it. But the fact that in past few decades this system turns out to be a shitshow with a lot of problems makes Chinese people think twice. If there is really a competition between the two systems, it should be done in a more constructive way, by improving its own system to increase the atttactiveness, instead of attacking the other party and forcing the change. If you set a good example, people will naturally follow
