i agree with Ana 100%, the online left is absolutely unhinged and I went through a similar thing where I thought they were 'my side' and allowed them to influence my beliefs and actions. im not sure where Ana is gonna go from here, (not sure why everyone is saying she is turning to the right wing, there is no indication of that) but i still identify as a left wing liberal and divorcing myself from that community has allowed me to think a lot more clearly about what I believe and to be less afraid of "wrongthink."

One frustrating thing is the way social media poisons discourse. There were tons of leftists who gave incredibly gently pushback to Ana for her trans women take, but the loud bullies were so unhinged that it's all that got talked about.

Am I the only one that is not at all surprised that Ana is leaving the left? In fact, I expected it sooner. I dont watch TYT very often, but it seems like when I do, Ana has legitimate complaints about whatever's going on in her party.

She said clearly that she is NOT switching sides. The name of her thing is LITERALLY “Unaligned”. That doesn’t scream radical right winger.
