you guys are nuts. damage to the trees depends on how fast or slow a forest fire is burning. some forest fires burn thru the underbrush and hardly touch the trees, some burn the trees to blackened stumps, and some race thru the canopy and just burn the tops of trees. wind will take embers and carry them to another section of forest and start more fires. other sections will remain untouched because the wind changed.
I was in yellowstone a couple years after the big fires there back in the late 80's, you could see the diff kind of burns within a mile of each other. you could see completely untouched patch of trees right next to a patch that was burned to the ground.

oh andd cars burning to ash? i'm guessing all the gas, oil and any other flammable materials have something to do with that. houses have plenty of flammable material too and once one lights, if its hot and dry enough and firefighters are too busy trying to evacuate people from the fast moving fire to stop it, it will burn to the ground.

the trees out here evolved to withstand fire - forest fires have always happened and the trees have adapted to it. trees like the lodgepole pine even need fire for their seeds to sprout. so just because some trees don't burn to the ground and manmade stuff does, just because the fires hop and skip around, doesn't make them unnatural.

it is happening more though, with the hotter dryer weather we've seen and the extended droughts in the west over the years as the climate changes, its just gonna keep getting worse. we had a massive windstorm - hurricane force winds in some of those areas - some were comparing it to the santa ana winds in cali. those are new, at least for this time of year. so if you want to be mad at something, be mad at the politicians who aren't doing anything about climate change. be mad at whatever sources are telling you antifa started these fires. thats bullshit. they're lying to you for a reason and you're falling for it. these fires will keep getting worse the more we ignore climate change, and it doesn't help that half the US keeps falling for shit that ain't real.
