How to Slice a Bell Pepper
Featuring the Velata Ceramic Chef's Knife

To begin, lay the pepper on its side.
Cut off the top and bottom — just below where it curves on both ends.
Set the pepper on one end.
Make one vertical slice to open the pepper.
Lay the pepper skin-side down.
Cut along the inside of the pepper to remove the membranes and seeds.
Flatten the cleaned pepper skin-side down.
With your fingers tucked, make a series of parallel slices while slowly moving your fingers back at an even pace.
To dice, bunch and turn the sliced pieces 90 degrees.
Align the slices using the side of the knife.
Hold the slices together with one hand as you carefully dice the pepper to your desired thickness.
