Thank you for this video.

I use Easichick. My budgies love foraging and playing with it (I add some dry flowers and some seeds there which is great when I have to leave them by themselves) I changed to Easichick few months back (you inspired me!) and I would never go back to bars/paper

Thank you for such a fabulous video! I'm just about to return to the joys of keeping birds after way too many years and have found a really caring breeder who handles her babies (budgies, cockatiels, conures & kakarikis) from an early age so they are silly tame when they go to their new homes, I've got a HUGE cage ready and over-indulged on some fantastic enrichment toys. I've always liked to give my animals as much mental stimulation as possible so this video really opened my eyes! I'll be checking out Easichick later today...I knew it had rave reviews for chickens but didnt realise you could use it for smaller birds too!

Hey! Thanks for all of the great videos. I have been watching y’all a lot since I’m doing some research before getting a GC conure. I’d love to use easichick, but I can’t seem to find any way to get it in the USA. Would you be able to recommend something similar? I honestly can’t find anything like it that’s also bacteria resistant. Thanks for any advice you can give! 😊

Hi Sophie! I love how informative your videos are! I just got a wonderful turquoise GCC and I was wondering if I could use kiln dried Aspen bedding.

I can’t use pine since I own other small animals that also have sensitive respiratory systems.

Hello again. There is no way I can clean twice a day during the week. I get up at 4:30 and leave for work by 6:00. I can clean in the evenings of course. That being the case, could I still use substrate or should I stick with the bars in the bottom of the cage so she's separated from the droppings? If I can use it, is the CareFresh okay to use in the cage?

Hello! I live in the USA and I am in need of getting a healthy substrate for the bonded pair I just rescued. I have a green cheeked conure and a disabled love bird, I saw your channel and this would be amazing for them!

Hi Sophie! Thank you for your amazingly fun and educational content. I always look forward to your videos. I have recently become a bird mom to two parrotlets and I'm looking to add a substrate to their cage base. I'm in South Africa and I found something called kenaf. Do you know if this is safe?

Just wondering what substrate i could buy in Calgary Alberta? Apologies if you've answered this query multiple times already.

I really want to convert my cage to substrate 😃

Random question, is a cockatiel the same size as a green cheek?

What substrate flooring could I get in Australia?

Hello Sophie, I am planning on getting a cockatiel. I have the cage, toys, and metal bowels. I am trying to find a bedding that is like easichick. Is soy candles ok to use? I want everything perfect for my new friend. =) Thank you so much for your videos. I'm still watching all of them. some even twice =)

Hi Sophie, my avian vet said to avoid substrate, even pine bedding that is dust free because their droppings and stuff in it can be harmful for them in the air. Frustrating because I see so many using it. What are your thoughts and is there something I need to share with my vet about it or is she correct?

Hi Sophie!

Thank you for all your informative videos! I'm hooked. :)
Do you have any substrate recommendations for Japan? I've tried looking but there aren't many dust-free options or anything close to nice chunky fibres like Easichick's.
I would appreciate any recommendations you may have. Thank you!

P.S - New owner of a cockatiel and working hard converting my seed addict to a healthy raw diet, your videos have been a tremendous help!!

Do you know of any alternatives in Australia?
I use Breeders Choice cat litter (paper pellets) for foraging trays and play gyms, and thinking of using this in the bottom of their cages too. Unless you have something else to recommend! ❤

Good video! I would like to know what kind of substrate you use in your bird stand and for your foraging box (the colourful stuff)? I could use it in my foraging box, it looks a little bit heavier so it won't spread throughout the whole room when the birds fly up.

Do you put your birds food dishes on the bottom of their cage? If they are ground feeders it would make sense to do that.
