Question: If you're dropping blood sugar levels whilst drinking - are you saying that fast-acting glucoese won't help the on-coming hypo? Or are you talking about the liver's natural glcuose-producing qualities?

Peripheral neuropathy is common with diabetes, ….once you get a little older (50’s) It’s no joke folks. Loss of feeling in your feet, loss of balance, loss of leg strength . Jogging, hiking, biking, skiing…hell, just standing for any length of time…forget it. Walk like your 80 in your 60’s There’s no cure, it only gets worse. I don’t wish it on anyone. Watch your diet, stop the alcohol. Yes, it’s tough to do, but you can do it.

I'm a type 2 diabetic and drink a lot. Straight whiskey. I take no medication, watch what I eat and my last A1C was 5.7.

Okay, the mix is what would increase your blood sugar. I take other medication that recommends to avoid alcohol. So if I do, I limit to one small drink, I think it is lamisil, which I will take for two more month. I take Metformin ER 1000mg for my type 2 diabetes
Thanks for this video.

Thank you for this Dr. 🙏

But 2-3 drinks per day? Per week? Per month? And how much is 1 drink? 30 ml? Or 45 ml?

Seems that controlling the blood sugars for T2D is easier through diet of keto/carnivore and saying goodbye to metformin. Having become 90% carnivore and 10% veggies has been incredible for me with an average A1C of 6.5

If you know an alcoholic, please know they are drinking because they need help. They are suffering emotionally. They believe they can ignore they way they are feeling by drinking. The drink satisfies them at the moment but the root of the problem requires professional guidance. Bottom line, urge the alcoholic to seek help. No matter how angry they get, tell the closest people around them what is going on. Alcoholics keep secrets because they are ashamed of their dependency. But please know you will be saving a life.

My husband was a diabetic alcoholic. He died at age 35.
