Me and my girlfriend are like that. She wasn’t even someone in my original radar but we reconnected a couple months ago and now we’re in a relationship! God’s timing is always perfect!

I wasn’t looking for someone, I’d given up and expected to be alone forever. I was sure there was no one who understood me, believed the same as me and was even near me. I found my gem of a man online, we just started talking and weren’t even planning on a relationship. We just kept talking and found out we had so much in common faith wise, grew up similar, only lived a few hours apart, and only one year age difference! There was no way we could’ve found each other except God.

This entire video fits me to a tee. I had avoided talking to, let alone dating Christian men all my life due to a deep fear of getting hurt. A few years ago I was compelled by the Holy Spirit to form a Bible study group for singles. I suddenly felt a responsibility to talk to guys to drag them to join my group for gender balance (lol). I met a stranger at a party where everyone except him was a Christian. Once I heard he was not a Christian (plus I am older), I automatically put him in the bucket of "absolute non-candidate" in my mind. I felt so "safe" and enjoyed chatting with him so much I invited him to my group. He came and our friendship grew without pressure. Quite a few times he would be the only one who came to the group or activities so we started to connect deeper (thanks flakes!). This went on for years until he came to Christ. He officially asked me out and I suddenly started seeing him in a new light like a switch got flipped. We just got married this year and he is truly my best friend and only guy friend I ever had. Let our amazing God surprise you with the best things in life.

I had to cut off with the other guy because I felt a tug in my heart saying it wasn't right. There was nothing wrong with him. But I had to say that we could only be friends because it was long distance. And now I'm chatting with someone who lives in the same state as me. And we both prayed that one day we would marry our best friend. And he says he's at peace with talking to me. But yeah we're taking things slow.
