How To Overcome Your Mid-Career Crisis

Does the thought of aging contribute to feelings of depression, remorse, and anxiety?

Research shows that many people—even those with seemingly enviable careers—can become dissatisfied with their jobs and life overall.

Different research papers and articles will present different age ranges of when a midlife crisis generally hits.

But to simplify things, let’s say that a midlife crisis can happen anywhere between someone in their early 30s to around 60s.

Experiencing midlife or mid-career crisis is actually more common than you think.

In fact, I myself have experienced it and got through it too before.

The emotional turmoil some people experience during midlife doesn’t always lead to major lifestyle changes that involve the desire to be young again.

In fact, a midlife crisis could turn into something positive.

But if you find that your midlife or mid-career crisis is negatively impacting your life, here are 3 strategies to help you navigate positively through this phase.

At 63, and now retired a retired pharmacist, I am having so much fun living the life I always wanted raising animals, a garden, and spending more time with my husband. Time with my grandkids and staying active keeps me young. I'm enjoying this time of my life.

Project focus versus process is key. Ad in that process we can learn applicable skills so that if we grow unfulfilled we can use our skills for a purpose that suits us. Yes missing out but nice to hear it explained this way as a perfectly normal feeling. Thanks so much Trish! Always enlightened here on your channel.

TO THE FIRST QUESTION YES, LOL. Omg your videos are always so helpful. You don't have to be in your 50s to have a "mid life crisis." I have feelings of this and I'm nowhere near 50. It's mostly because I feel like I missed out on having a career. BUT at the end of the day, caring for my family IS my job and it's the best job I could ever ask for. I just need to remember the blessings instead of the little moments of regret.

Love how you talk about a topic you've personally experienced too, it's a nice personal touch. Definitely needed this, I feel i'm going through the biggest career crisis. 'Regret may not mean that any thing is wrong, it just shows that we value many activities' that's such a great mature outlook, I definitely need to focus more like that. Thanks for sharing
