Tampa has avoided disaster after disaster hurricanes for over the past 80+years. If it gets hit (potential direct hit at landfall) with any storm stronger than a high end CAT 2, it could be devastating on so many levels. I grew up there, moved to CO 3 years ago. Family still there. Praying hard for the whole state of west/central FL

The older I get, the less I want to put up with complications. I would evacuate simply to avoid several days or weeks of no water, sewer, and electricity. Who wants to deal with that mess in hot and humid Florida?

I was going to move to Florida but not anymore. 2 hurricanes back to back is enough damage to get the heck out of there.

I was in Wilma with my Dad in Bradenton Florida.The trailer shook and debris everywhere. We were 100 or so miles from the eye in Naples.

West coast of Floridas string of good luck is over. I know a lot of folks who moved there because the Tampa area has not been hit with a hurricane in about 100 years. Normally hurricanes move from east to west. Who could have predicted one moving from west to east 🤷🏻‍♂️
