hi guys, encore has always been that gremlin that you know will never be normal in any given storyline. For Wuthering Waves, thats Encore. As abnormal as she is, she is the strongest standard DPS at the moment, and can hold her own versus limited DPS if she gets Yinlin's weapon. As an Encore main, I don't think "learning" the combo is a good way to approach this. Situation in combat changes all the time and if you just memorize this combo, even the smallest thing can mess up your entire rotation (eg. imbalanced concerto energy, missing a cancel). If you want to play Encore optimally, you just need to remember a few things:

Remember your buffs to activate before you start liberation on Encore: Verina's outro (you don't need to think about this one much because healer's outros apply to all resonators), Verina's Starflower Blooms (heavy attack/air attack), Verina's echo (turtle), Sanhua's outro, Sanhua's echo, and you don't need to think about Rejuvenating Glow's buff, it'll happen naturally.

Remember actions you want to cancel out of: Sanhua's echo, Encore's E (which you'll want to return to her straight up before it finishes), Encore echo's last hit (this one's very minimal dps loss if you don't cancel it), Verina's intro proccing Gift of Nature. The first two are the only ones that can give you net dps gain if you cancel them correctly. The rest doesn't matter.


How to actually deal dps in Encore's Resonance Liberation: the video already explained it, and it's correct. Contrary to what other guides shows you. You don't start with an E during Encore's ulti. You start with a basic attack and cancel the animation of the wooly drops using your Es and dodges. And always end it up with a heavy attack before Cosmos Rave ends.

The buffs are more important than the swap cancels, and outside of Encore's E and Sanhua's echo cancels, swap cancelling will happen naturally once you remember the basics.

6:40 correct me if im wrong but i read somewhere that you can do a character swap while Sanhua is doing her charge atk and she will still do the ice burst provided that you swapped when it's on the blue bar.
