You forgot to screw on the cap of the sushi bazooka after closing the bazooka. Then, when the cap is on, as you screw in the plunger, all the rice inside gets compressed and the roll is formed. I have used my sushi bazooka many times and it makes perfect rolls even without greasing. The only hard part is closing it because the hinges do come apart like it happened to you.

Thanks for this recipe, I made the "crab salad" using the tofu only thing I added fresh lime, cayenne pepper and kelp flakes, onion and bell peppers to it and it was so good.
Really enjoyed this one

I LOVE sushi! My favourite is vegan tempura tofu, mango and avocado with a vegan 'unagi' sauce made with mirin, maple syrup and soy sauce. good! You gotta try it!

I for sure recommend seasoning the tofu and hearts of palm and adding those extra like a little jalapeno, carrot shreds, cucumber, I've had green pepper in a veggie roll, seaweed salad, asparagus, vegan cream cheese if you have one you like, a little wasabi and Sriracha vegan mayo drizzle on top. You don't have to do all of those bc I've for sure eaten seasoned sushi rice in nori alone rolls, but just know you can use any of those ingredients. I've even sliced king oyster mushrooms and seasoned them for the meat and it was so so good

Rose, watching you play with a new gadget is priceless! You always make my day, and inspire me with new recipe ideas. But, I think I'm going to keep hand rolling my sushi.

Wow so needed this. Started a new job and they have a vegan sushi restaurant in the building and someone asked me how does that work. Now I can explain. Rose always coming in clutch. Rose what’s your favorite hair color you’ve had? I think you make them all look great

I loved everything about this! The food, the recommendations, the thought process in the middle of doing something being like “Is this what I’m supposed to be doing?”, the ACCENTS(!!!), and just your general energy and the joy you bring to your videos.
Thank you, Rose, for another great video! ☺️

I'm from Argentina, we also call it palmitos. One of our classic pizza toppings is: ham, cheese, roasted capsicum, hearts of palm and salsa golf on top (is mayo and ketchup mixed) it's so tasty!

Excellent video. I do makizushi, and fold-zushi ... your fillings are great. Love your Asian videos the most ... 5* personality, bringing such fun with the info. Thanks.

We have a sushi bazooka! My husband got one bc I wanted sushi for my birthday and men need tools! He's really into it and has a system to use it.

I have one of those. You definitely didn’t put enough rice in the first time. Pack each side level to the edge and end to end, then press the rod part to make a “well” and fill the well with whatever you want.

I bought one and had a hard time too. You do have to put the cap on the open end and screw/push the sushi together to press. Then push it out onto the nori. I think it’s easier to just roll it. Lol. Love watching your videos.

Cool recipe THX 😁
For the "doomed" ones, who live in Germany:
For sushi you can use Milchreis(milk rice), the plane 250g or 500g packs with nothing but the thick rice in it, not the instant stuff!
This is a trick, I learned from a Korean friend, living in Berlin 😊

Brazilian here: I was ecstatic when you pulled out the hearts of palm - yes, palmitos! 😊 I love it - it’s so delicious! But hard to find here in Ireland as well - so definitely an expensive option. I can’t wait to go to Brazil again and eat all the palmitos, açaí, Vegan brigadeiros and vegan cheese bread I want! Thank you for another fun video!! 🥰

I had that Bazooka thing. It wasn't worth the trouble. Easier to roll without it! Fun video!

I would love to get into the NFT market but it's expensive with the gas price alone, something could cost $18 but the gas could be over $400
