i finally got this. i could not open it by spinning it though. when i got it apart, after an hour, i had to resort to using tape to keep partial progress. i am not sure if this is exactly 4 x 2 identical pieces. It almost falls apart after the first solve. but i got it! it's like one of those nightmares where you are in over your head disassembling something; and can't get it exactly like it was before you messed with it.
