Exploring Abandoned: America's Best Inn

Not exactly sure when this hotel was opened, however it was foreclosed on in 2014. It had most of the features you would expect from a hotel. A pool, cable TV, restaurant, bar, lounge, continental breakfast, etc. In 2015, the city council voted to condemn the property. Therefor, the owner must begin demolishing the property within 10 days of the vote and finish within 30 days. However, that never happened. The mayor, in 2015, was trying to find the owner who lives in Chattanooga, and who reportedly didn't pay the loan back, which the bank loaned the owner $1,147,000 back in July of 2012, which the hotel was still operational. It's unclear what the mayor and the city are talking about now concerning the building, so as of now, it still stands.
