In this presentation, Cubic Motion’s Senior Technical Animator Riham Toulan takes you through animating a MetaHuman with Control Rig in Unreal Engine’s Sequencer. The techniques demonstrated can also be applied to animating any asset rigged with Control Rig.

where is the ROM anim sequence? I don't see it in the sample proj or in newer metahuman exports from bridge

The rom animation you use does not appear to be part of the sample MH package. Is it possible to make this available so we can follow along with the tutorial? Just watching you go through the motions has much less value than being able to do it ourselves. Thanks!

Dear Epic. Please include the ROM animation file shown at 7:12. It's not in the downloaded project that comes with the example .

Wow, all the additionnal meshes are visible!! you are very lucky, I can see only the main mesh in my case

Very nice thank you, woud love to see more of the process, inclucing a more in depth look on the picker, also would love to see how the engine handles a more clunky workflow especially when it comes to constraints with props on the fly.

On the Epic's subpage for MetaHumans it mentions that we'll be getting Maya source file as well.
I hope this means we can work in the more 'traditional' way and animate the body and face in Maya and then bake/export the anim to UE4.
Animating directly in UE4 still feels kind of janky and painful :P

Hi, Thank you for the quick tutorial. I would like to know how can I key the fk ik switch (boolean type) of meta human control rig in sequencer. I tried to key them but I don't see any channel there and also they snap back to fk when the time line is moved.

Would love to see a tutorial with 'correction' after a Live Link app facial capture. So if you realize there are moments where the mouth is doing something weird or the capture jittered, what's best practices for correcting that?

If the animation is retargeted from another character/skeleton, do we have to bake it to the Subjects control rig before trying to blend Control rig keys with animation sequences?
When i try to bake to control rig, the list is empty completely. The only thing i can think of that explains this is that I took the Animation off a UE4 mannequin and retargeted it with an IK RTG.
Any advice? i been stuck on this a while

It was hard to read the text and what options you were selecting in the SDK. In future I would suggest you zoom your video in a bit more or record at 4K with 35kbps bitrate for clarity.
