I had a Staffordshire sweetheart for 17 years! She protected me when I was homeless and she taught me to care about something more than myself! She saved my life! She was the best! Smart, funny, and loyal to the bone! She left a hole in my heart when she passed but I had to let her go. She was tired and ready to go! I had her from when I was 27 years old till 44 years old! It's hard waking up with her not here. I miss her loud snoring and she loved to talk ! I know I will see her at the Rainbow Bridge, where she'll be waiting for me!

We see the word "Pit Bull" being used often in many places. Online..in the media..in books..in magazines..on the streets. People see anything from 50 lb. gamedogs to 175 lb. Mastiff type dogs being called Pit Bulls. Without people to let everyone know that Pit Bull is many times not classified as one breed of dog..people may start to think all of these dogs are the same. That's why when I am talking about a particular Bully/Bulldog breed..I use the official name. If I am talking about an American Bulldog..I say American Bulldog. If I am talking about an American Bully..I say American Bully. If I am talking about the father of all of them..the American Pit Bull..I say American Pit Bull. If I am talking about them collectively, I either say Bully/Bulldog breeds or Pit Bull types.

I had an American Staffordshire Terrier and he was a wonderful dog - our family grew up with "Spike" and we all loved him dearly. He protected his family. He died tearing up a rattlesnake that somehow got into the house - he was 11 yrs. old when we lost him.

I got a fuzzlebutt that is a mix of amstaff, American pitbull terrier, stuffy bull terrier American bulldog and lab. I got a DNA test on him. His manners are impeccable, but when he is in a hyper mood, he is a zoomy machine! He will also sumo wrestle with you. I’ve given him the job of pulling a red wagon around the yard when I’m doing outside work. I load the thing with anything I need for my jobs, and he will pull anything up to 150lbs.

I never wanted a pittie. Short version is we found one that was being neglected in the neighborhood and agreed to "foster" her until a home could be found. She's still here and is just a snuggle mut. Really great dog.

The only dog that is a pitbull or pitbull type is the American Pitbull Terrier. No other breeds are pitbulls.

The real APBT is a small lean muscular dog I have a staffie APBT mix 16 months old 52 pounds can be very loving can be a hand full she can dig and she can jump she looks like the APBT but she has the short staffie nose, she's kinda fear less but she doesn't like it when she hears thunder and doesn't like disaplen

My daughter had two Pit Bull Mix rescue dogs they lived to be 15 and 17 years old they were really mistreated but became loving dogs and quite smart, one was a Pitt bull mix with Rhodesian Ridge-back (female ) Pitt bull mix with Mastiff (male ) they both always had a toy they wanted you to throw I never sent them to training school both were so pleasant they could sit, shake your hand, roll over, but did not like other dogs, the mailman, UPS man they only bark with someone they did not know but if my daughter told them to stop barking they would stop. Okay This Video is So Way Off.. 😂😂 Understand there is ONLY 1 American Staffordshire "Pitbull" Terrier. Grouping Dogs because they Look like what people THINK they look like. 1st Off. If Your dog NEVER fought in a Pit.. It's not a Pit. Amstaffs are NOT Pits. Bully Breeds are Not Pits. Banddogs are Not Pits. Bulldogs are Not Pits. An Irish Person in Puerto Rico doesn't make him Latin. AKC actually showed their Lack of Knowledge on the breed by stating if it's Italian it is Italian. WRONG and UNPROFESSIONAL! There is a Different in Mindsets, Drive, Stance Never Alone teeth patterns. I rather they call them Mutts instead of Lying. If All dogs that look like Pits are Pits then Dogs aren't Dogs but Wolves and there should be 1 Standard for All Dogs and 1 Insurance as well as They will ALL have to be listed in the Block List. Stop Categorizing Things because You Don't Understand or Lack the Knowledge.

I have a bluenose . And is such a good dog she's 3 years old she is the best companion there is no other dog that I would choose they are so loving and caring and have a personality of Their Own

The pitbull is my dream dog, from their big heads, to their smiles to their goofy personality. Though I'm still undecided as to which type of pitbull I would like to have.
The idea would be to train him to be an emotional support dog and help me be more active. Long walks, time at the park to run and mentally stimulating and durable chew toys to keep him sharp. But I would also love to cuddle him.

Thing is, everyone close to me keeps saying no, not a Pitbull, and to look at other breeds that are just as smart and trainable. But I have my heart set on a Pitbull because they are misunderstood and it's a breed I would gladly put in the effort to train and love
