Can confirm it works, on Xbox/PS4 you have to go into your advanced settings under networking and change the MAC address to something different. change the last letter to something random and restart console. these routers use your MAC address to block a connection if your parents do that. So by changing the MAC address it's like bringing over a friends Xbox and hooking it up to your internet. So the router thinks it's a different system using the internet. Pretty simple but like so everyone can see how this works!

I don't have "Network Address" in the advanced properties section of my WiFi, what do I do?

I know how this works, and in all honesty, it's pretty effective and smart. Your MAC address is simply put it....a name tag. When parental controls are put on a computer or tablet or whatever, it records that name tag and puts you on a list and adds a specific amount of rules. So it's like saying you walk into a night club at 10PM. the bodyguard at the door says to show your ID. you show it, and he checks up your ID, and says you aren't allowed in because your ID says you can't go in after 10PM. But if you were to change that ID, in this case your physical network address, the bodyguard would not realize your ID, and you will be accepted in. That's how it works. it's basically like changing your nametag, in which your original nametag was restricted, so you changed your nametag so you can be accepted.

You I don’t eat at the same time then the family? Block.
You don’t put the cheese in the fridge because your forgot? Block.
I can finally erase that stress from my mind thanks!

7 years later and it works. This is the only working method I could find that is actually reliable and doesn’t need any weird software
