They didn't walk away "from it all". They wanted to stay partly in the royal family and perform only the royal duties that they chose to do every now and then but use their royal titles to make money. And the Queen did not allow them to do that. She told them that either they could be 100% in and continue as "Working Royals" or they could leave the royal family altogether. The British Constitution does not allow members of the Royal Family who are funded by taxpayer money to make money out of their royal titles. The Monarchy is not about making lots of money which is what Meghan wants. The monarchy is about SERVICE and DUTY to the nation. If she didn't want to do that it is best that she leaves. Prince Charles has agreed to pay for their living expenses for one year until they "become financially independent" and after that they will have the option to either return or leave altogether and have nothing to do with anything Royal permanently. Since they have done nothing but whinge and complain since then I believe that when the year is up they will lose all remaining titles and privileges and told that they are not welcome back.

For any relationship to break it takes two parties. Do H and M ever acknowledge their wrongdoings? It seems everyone else is guilty but not them? Healthy individuals reflect on their behaviour, acknowledge mistakes then forget and forgive, move on and work on their character.
When Scoby tells the truth about his real age, then maybe i will believe his scribbles of a book.

I don’t believe that H & M did not contribute. Otherwise they would have sued the authors 🤔 . Fact is the royal family rolled out the red carpet to welcome her. She is a woman in her late 30’s and expects Kate who is a wife, mother of 3 kids and has her duties as future Queen consort to do hand hold her? What I notice is that H & M take no accountability whatsoever for their actions and blame everyone else. Did the palace tell them to spend that amount of money on clothes or take 4 private jet flights while lecturing on ecology?
