I struggle with this one because even as a casual non scholarly reader, I can understand that ‘eat’ in English is itself sometimes used to refer to something like sin-eater, for example. But that would usually require something being attached to it that you couldn’t normally eat. Like just as a basic reader of any given text, I know social and historical context matters but even from interpreting solely within the text, there’s no reason why you can’t just ‘eat’ a fruit.

The problem is people think strong's concordance is a valid translation tool where it's not.

I'd like to see a video (or maybe podcast) dedicated to talking about Strong Concordance. I don't know much of it myself, but I assume the writing from the 1890s is out of date in its translations.

I would be interested in seeing a discussion of Strong's Concordance and its ideal usage as well as its shortcomings. A lot of the Messianic Jews / Evangelicals that I'm around use it in the same way that the creator in this video does. It seems like a useful tool to make the Bible fit your dogma but since I don't know Hebrew, Greek, or Aramaic either it's difficult to make a good case that they're taking words out of context.
