Finally! I started capping my rate some years ago and found that stable frame rates are better then the peaks and valleys of an uncapped framerate. I'm on a 3080 Ti now and I still cap my FPS.

Hi Tim (apologies if I have your name incorrect), I read that one way to avoid the issues you mention is to match graphics card frame rates to monitor rates. I have an RTX3080 TI 12gb DDR6 RAM graphics card which synchronises with my Acer Predator G-sync monitor. This has removed stuttering and tearing that I had before with my only game Stalkersoup a standalone, which previously did stutter due to the sheer size of the game. I agree with your comments about CPU RAM and SSD cards. I find your channel very helpful and instructive in a pleasant manner. Thanks and Regards JB.

What are you using to see the FPS and that line that shows if it is working smoothly or not?

as one that ever played much on console (only hours) the tresh hold when a game become unplayble is about 45 fps, one can still hit and move comfortbly and not feeled let down but that the limit anything bellow is a bad unjoyble and avoided - Overwatch can have fixed framerate and works fine a like 56 fps ( to avoid the huge screentear at 60 fps) - this if you have a office monitor like 1920x1200p - just play at 1280x720p some resolutions fill the whole sceen, most dont

that 1050 ti might be to much for a 250 watt powersupply, an amd 460 2gb might draw 75-90 watt, ( 90w if one dont updgrade the gpu drives and this from the pci-e bus ) - can play overwatch and world of warcraft

Also worth looking at the CPU ram speeds compatibility, like an i7 2600 can only take up to 1333Mhz max etc, as a lot of people won't know they are wasting cash buying 2400mhz if CPU can't go to that speed unless you're thinking of upgrading CPU and mobo later then by all means go for it but not if its just to get you by with light gaming with no interest in upgrading till it dies, lol also windows XP can only use 4gb of ram tops if someone is unlucky enough to still use that OS, or if it comes installed on a prebuilt OEM get XP OS off
