Can Max Verstappen still LOSE the F1 CHAMPIONSHIP?

Is it possible for another F1 driver to steal the F1 championship from Max Verstappen. Currently Max Verstappen has a healthy lead over the 2024 F1 championship - although he is not exactly safe yet. With Lando Norris 78 points away prior to the mid-season break it's time to look at whether Max can still lose the F1 championship and what it would take for Lando Norris to win the F1 championship. What we have seen over the past couple of races where Max has not won, he has on average still outperformed Lando and gained in the championship.
So Lando (and the team) cannot continue as they do, they really have to improve to beat Max.

It's not the case that if drivers with the same number of wins and points are tied for the Championship that it would be decided by the driver who scored his first win in the season.

Artice 7.2 of the fia 2024 sporting regulations states...

"If two or more drivers finish the Championship with the same number of points,  

the higher place in the Championship shall be awarded to:

a) The holder of the greatest number of first places in a race.

b) If the number of first places is the same, the holder of the greatest number of second 

places in a race.

c) If the number of second places is the same, the holder of the greatest number of third 

places in a race and so on until a winner emerges.

d) If this procedure fails to produce a result, the FIA will nominate the winner according to 

such criteria as it thinks fit. "

Lando can win a race, Oscar can win a race and Lewis is still capable of winning a race, don't forget Carlos can win a race, and if everything goes right even Charles can win a race. And in the end, we have Super Max and the end of the season. Great video.

There’s also the scenario of RB losing the constructors because McLaren’s drivers have placed in the top places in the past races while Checo has failed to scored big points for the team

Max is still dominating, other teams are just catching-up with their car. The bad news is other teams have not a Max Verstappen in their seat.

I wouldn't say it's Max's "form". He is still driving the best on the grid. It's just that he now has the 3rd or 4th best car on the grid.

Problem is, there is no one to win other than MAX. Don't get me wrong, Lando, Charles and Oscar are very fast, but they've shown a few times not to be mentally ready for a title fight

Sure, but it will have to be to Norris or Leclerc, Hamilton is mathematically out! All they need is for Piastri or Sainz to crash Verstappen out of the races, then max wont get any points for the rest of the season.

These are all nice scenario's and calculations but the simple fact of the matter is that this is a mechanical sport. When the car brakes down for a reason these scenario's go right out of the window. Besides the mechanical part it's also a team sport, so when the pit crew craps up during a pitstop it all goes tits up too. We've seen that in Austria this year where Max and Lando met to close for comfort on track after Red Bull dropped the ball during Max' last pitstop. Same story at Monza which ended in Max' car on top of Lewis' car after a slow pitstop by RB.

That being said as long as his car doesn't break down all Max has to do is finish close to, or preferably in front of Lando and he has his 4th consecutive title with Red Bull, just like Sebastian Vettel.

Well Lando won't win if he keeps getting screwed by strategy and team orders to let the slower driver through

RB will lose contrustion champ but Max will win the driver champ. Even RB is not the fastest car, but Max is not losing many points in the races.
