If you all want the honest truth, here it is. Max Verstappen's car is set up to be super sharp. Sharp enough to where it could be pushed to its limits by Verstappen's driving style. Former RedBull driver Alex Albon confirms this in the High Performance Podcast.

So Redbull has found a way to have more downforce at lower cornering speeds while having less downforce and drag at high straight line speeds - hence less tire wear overall.

To those who say that they only won because they had the best Yes, Newey designs the best cars (more often than not), but no team ever had the best car and thought "shall we save ourselves some money and put in an average driver seeing as the car is so quick?" Mansell, Prost, Hill, Villeneuve, Hakkinen, Vettle, Verstappen were all worthy champions who EARNED the seat of the best car on the grid.

The insinuation that grownd effect cars came to be affter the final race between Hamilton and Versttappen is ridiculous. The rules had been ste at least one year prior. Every team was already working on their cars and not focussing on development since middle of the season.

I know Adrian has a great part in the car, but he can't do it alone and has a great designing team around him. You have to build a team and that isn't done in one year.

Tire lifespan is only due to better aerodynamics...
If you have enough downforce, you don't rely as much on machanical grip...
If that downforce is eficient, then you dont have much drag and have good top speed.

Full transparency, but you fail to mention the salary cap cheat redbull did. Those advances last for years. You can fine them or do whatever you want, but you cant have them un-spend the money or undo what they developed! 5 million won't make the car 1 second a lap faster, and it doesn't have to. Holding onto a tenth for the last 10 laps is already a HUGE help

One thing he’s missing. Car in front has all the downforce so tires degrade less. Car following close behind wears tires quicker due to less down force. Dirty air.
