Are legalities different by state? Just curious bc when I lived in OH they could not sell candy-size until they were 3" cookie size. I named mine Sputnik. 😊
I live in AZ now and blessed with adorable lizards that do push ups and geckos galore that stick to my door. My apt is next to the building light so it is basically their restaurant. I work nights so it is like battle of the geckos when need to leave bc they want to flee inside the door jam so I leave 30 min early to keep them from getting smooshed.
I would love to pick your brain. Do you deal with arachnids as well?
I had a Brazilian Salmon Pink goliath bird eater for 20 yrs. My eyes glazed over at the pet store like I was on crack and had to get it. The poor pet shop guy was traumatized getting it into a happy meal box. When I got home, my bf at the time had his friend over and I was all on happy pet crack. I told him I had a surprise and they got all curiously hovering as I opened a small flap for "Gargamel" to come out at his pace. The moment two of those furry legs reached out, i kid you not, both guys did a legit cartoon jump, legs moving mid air and they fled with the highest pitch squeals. I was dying😂

I love red ear sliders. I had about 5 and my mom decided that. Oh I'll get a tortoise and get rid of his turtles so now all my red ear sliders are in the lake and as soon as my mom took me to the lake and I was forced to release them. 2 got eaten by a large mouth bass as soon as they enters the water. So now I'm stuck with a tortoise that will outlive my mom, me and my future kids

It’s all fun and games until they get to big and you can’t afford to make a pond so you release it in to the native ecosystem like thousands have already because there aren’t any places that will take them
