In this video we discuss the interplay between hypothesis testing and causal inference, illustrating it with two important applications: clinical trials and A/B testing. We demonstrate that hypothesis testing alone is not sufficient to determine whether there is a causal effect. Instead, it must be combined with insights from causal inference (e.g. randomization).
