Overview of Hypothesis Testing

In this video we provide an overview of hypothesis testing. First, we describe the main elements in the hypothesis-testing framework and define statistical significance. Next we discuss three crucial topics in practice: multiple testing, the interplay with causal inference, and practical significance. We then define the power of hypothesis tests. Finally, we discuss nonparametric testing, explaining how to perform permutation tests.
