We made a horror game in 1 week!
As a part of Blackthornprod's most recent pass-the-game challenge; myself and 5 other indie game devs made a horror game in 7 (ish) days!

If you're not familiar, the pass-the-game challenge is an indie game dev challenge where some number of indie game devs try to make a game together but they are not allowed to communicate. Every pass-the-game challenge usually has some sort of theme. The theme of this game dev challenge was "the wheel of doom".

Every dev had to spin a wheel that would determine the theme or feature they had to add to the game. I was the fifth game dev in the challenge, which introduced some unique (and fun) challenges I haven't encountered before.

First off, this was my first time ever working on a 3d game in Unity. That alone really helped me get out of my comfort zone! Additionally, it was great on-the-spot thinking practice to determine what features to add to the game in such a short amount of time. It was also really cool to hear about how the other indie devs approached their game dev problems and features!

Pass the game is a unique situation to find yourself in, not knowing how what you made will morph and end up. We definitely took it in a wild direction at the end for sure. Glad you liked the final product and thanks for your hard work. It was nice working with you-- even if it was without knowing it!

Yeah, "wendigo" should not have been on that wheel. It is a taboo, contemporary spiritual belief of the Ojibwe, not a fun cryptid for horror media
