So, what security wonders does Surfshark VPN hold to be a reliable option these days?

I’m gonna kick off this Surfshark review 2022 with Privacy. Gotta trust your VPN provider you know.

Surfshark is interesting here: on one hand it has audited server infrastructure, a no-logs policy and literally uses RAM-only servers which can’t retain user data.

On the other hand, I’m reminded that Surfshark VPN moved from the privacy-friendly British Virgin Islands to the 14-eyes state The Netherlands.
Then again, that change came together with the NordVPN merger, which does alleviate some privacy issues.

Talking about issues, I actually haven’t noticed many in this Surfshark VPN review 2022, not when testing security.

Okay, VPN settings: Kill switch is at place, crucial if you have an unstable connection, it prevents IP leaks. Good to have.
Protocol choice, I always have it set on WireGuard. How good is Surfshark VPN encryption with this protocol? Well, currently it uses the ChaCha20 encryption cipher, which is the best option.
CleanWeb is also nice to get rid of the ads, trackers and malicious links - always on as well.
Bypasser is the Surfshark’s take on Split tunneling. I actually have it to automatically reroute my torrenting app through VPN, neat stuff.
Finally, NoBorders is a feature I personally don’t use, but it’s designed for places with internet restrictions. Hopefully you don’t need it as well, but if you do - it should work as intended.
And of course, Surfshark also has three separate tabs dedicated to their cybersecurity suite, including an Antivirus, the Alert tool and secure Search function.

These are what makes Surfshark one of the best VPN 2022. Alert finds any leaked data associated with your email address and Search helps me avoid tracking or cookie bias when looking for stuff. Antivirus is, well, self-explanatory.

Surfshark VPN has about 3,200 servers with 95 countries to spread across. That number is not that significant compared to some other best VPN providers and Wireguard by itself can’t guarantee top speeds. So I’ve gone ahead and tested how good is Surfshark VPN speed in the US, UK and Germany. It went better than I expected to be honest.

With the UK, my speed is almost the same as the baseline, about 95% of it. Germany is a bit behind, but this speed is honestly impressive. While the US is the furthest location this time, I’m getting barely 20% speed loss. Is Surfshark good for gaming at those speeds? Yeah, I’d say so, personally I have not experienced any issues myself.

Please be advised.. the Kill Switch in Surfshark does NOT work. I used them last year and it didn't work.. I just tried them today and the Kill switch does not work.

Never buy their VPN server.
As long as 30 days after three days no refund.
But you can use it normally within 30 days, and after 30 days you have to go to their after-sales chat every day. They'll give you a config file that doesn't last for more than 24 hours, and then you have to go to them the next day for a config file. Repeatedly tossing you like this, they won't give you a refund until you give up completely.
Never buy their VPN server. Don't buy it, don't buy it.

The problem with most of these VPN they shutdown very quickly on android, and they don’t auto start, they work much better on PC, I tried a few of them and they all worked the same way on my android box, shutdown after a few minutes.

There are so many problems with this service. One big one is it drops with out notice usually during some seriously internet searching. Is this the best service out there? One that does not open you up to being super vulnerable. This video is clearly a promo video but I will try the Kill Switch...hopefully this helps.
