As a Hungarian is so funny to hear the response for How are you? is Fine and you?. Usually we say all of our problems. For example I am tired, I feel little bit ill, I have to go ...(somewhere you really do not want to go) etc. Ok, maybe it is changing nowadays. I feel, we ask it rather when we are interested in the response. One more thing: What is your name? is Hogy hívnak? I use it against Mi a neved? Anyway, I love videos about my language and see to someone take care of it. :) Good luck everyone and enjoy your journey to learn magyar. :D

Lena, you are so good at teaching this Scottish lad to speak Hungarian. Your voice is so smooth and musical. I love listening to you. Thank you.

3 years ago? Well that never stopped me:
"Jó éjszakát" would sound strange as a greeting (it implies that at least one of you is going to bed), "Jó estét" is the "Good evening"

Koszonom szepen! I have started to learn Hungarian two weeks ago. And I admit, it is not easy at all, but I have clear goals and motivation to learn it well! This video is very helpful

4:31 There should be a comma after "Köszönöm".
5:12 There should be a comma after "Kérem".
5:29 There should be a comma in front of "Kérem".
11:00 There should be a comma after "tudom".
13:50 There should be a comma after "Hallod".
16:32 Technically there should be an exclamation mark at the end of that sentence, but no one considers that a big mistake.
16:46 It should be either "A szobatársam a kórházban dolgozik." or "My rommate works at a hospital.".
Anyway, I appreciate this video, and the fact that you speak Hungarian without any noticeable accent is amazing.

Its been a long time since this video was posted. I am enjoying these videos but im struggling to pronounce the words.
I have a somerset accent, which is a heavy accent with hard r's.
However hungarian seems to be a light language with more bouncy r's
