Im guessing that Youtube bots are selecting Channels that are most actively uploading and getting more views, which makes sense. I dont think its random or "first come first serve" basis.
Makes sense to review a channel that is uploading frequently and getting thousands of views a day, rather than one that's not so active and getting little views. Its only fair to both the Creators and YouTube. But who knows what's really going on, like i said i'm guessing.

what i don't understand is, i sent in my application on the 4th of April and still have not been accepted, but my friend sent his in a few weeks after me and got accepted the day after???

My friend is also waiting since December. The funny thing is, she already was partnered. She just wanted to join another network. A network that allows using the adress of the network as imprint (in Germany you gotta have an imprint as soon as you make money with Youtube. Several german Youtubers got in trouble for not having an imprint and her old network didn't allow using their adress as imprint.).
So she had to apply for a YT partnership again because she lost it after leaving her old network.
I don't get how she still has to wait... Don't they have anything in the youtube database that says "she already was partnered" or something that could speed up the process for her and others in the same situation?

Been trying to get my third channel sorted since Jan. I hit the targets in 9 days. I get told the same thing everytime I contact them... Useless...

I was worried about re-applying, thank god i reached 1k subs a few days before the deadline.
Being that this is YouTube and is unpredictable, i was still anxious that i will go under some kind of review, but I got a notification basically saying my channel will remain in the partner program. I also received a payment a couple of days ago, so that sealed the deal and eliminated any uncertainties i had.

This is really hurting my channel. After like 3 months i am still not monetized. All my friend are making money from their normal jobs while I'm sitting here grinding my ass off not even making a dime. Its slowly starting to demoralize me from my dream job. :(

My other channel has been under review for 6months and that’s the reason I made my new channel, that im using now. And still no response from youtube. My new channel has been under review for almost 3 months now. It just breaks my heart how this is getting my hopes up and still nothing is happening :(

I uploaded my first video March 7, 2018. I hit the 1, 000 subs and 4, 000 hours during March, and now have 14, 000 subs, 67, 000 hours and 927, 000 views. Still not monetized. Has it always taken this long for people?

Been waiting a week lol guess that's not too long compared to some who have been waiting long. I think patience is key hopefully it does'n't take too long running a channel is expensive, DSLR cameras, taking time to edit etc etc.

The hours thing is done a week ago but it is very hard to gain active and legit subscribers I just hope I reach the 1000 sub's threshold soon and by then I just hope also YouTube is fixed and I and other creators don't have to wait for months.
Good video I always learn so much new stuff from your video tutorials. You have a lot of original content.
