We’ve all been there: you wake up feeling a bit groggy, then your nose starts running and the headache kicks in. The worst bit? You can’t train for days, or even weeks. That’s why if you’re serious about hitting your 2015 goals, then you need to make your health a priority. Dan, Si and Matt give you ten top tips on how to boost your immune health, including getting plenty of sleep, cutting down on booze and being unsociable for at least 30 minutes after training.

Ran a marathon in May of this year, got something like 3:30. Pretty happy about it. Didn't give myself enough weeks to recover, though, and about three weeks later, on a Tuesday, came down with a nasty fever and sinus infection. Fever broke after a day, and sinuses eventually stopped screaming, but it wasn't until that weekend (and after a friend bought me a neti pot) that I was finally able to clear them. Ended up blowing a glob of mucus the size of a golf ball out onto the bathroom counter, and suddenly remembered what it was to breathe, and I've never been so happy about doing something so simple.

You all *definitely* needed to know that.

Dan used to be a pro cyclist?! I had no idea. I wonder if he used to ride for that Cervelo Test Team lot? They were awesome! But not quite as awesome as Matt's Y-fronts and socks combo. Sleep classy folks!

Avoid at all cost, feeling chilled. Light exercise, just enough to break a sweat, short session followed by good warm food and warm shower. Then get into warm comfy clothes and a blanket. I just got over a cold.
