Full reboot? I don’t see Marvel Studios letting that happen. However, a soft reboot acting as a checkpoint in the franchise that gives new viewers a starting point for future films? Yes.

The multiverse saga definitely creates the possibility of maybe rebooting the MCU. But marvel is such deep water that it wouldn’t make sense for them to do it.

I understand that Marvel fatigue combined with a mixed bag of quality has left audiences cynical about the MCU, but just focusing on the negatives and throwing it all away would be the equivalent of getting stuck on one level of a really good game and deciding to let go of the controller and never play again.

I'd love to see a rebooted Hulk actually, focus a bit more on the struggle between him and Banner akin to how Avengers: EMH did it and I'd like to see Hulk interact with the Avengers and other heroes outside of battles too

Feige always wanted the Fantastic Four (and X-Men) to be part of the MCU, but he wasn't going to wait a decade for Disney to eat the Fox. But now that Deadpool is a Disney Princess, Feige has all his action figures on the table. My theory: This isn't just a reboot of the MCU, this is an opportunity to reinvent the entire Marvel Film Franchise, finally under one roof.
Also, from a practical standpoint, the MCU canon timeline is a mess. Starting from scratch is the best way to sweep that under the rug.

I wouldn’t mind a reboot after phase 6, could be pretty fun and fresh. The MCU would be 20 years old by that point, and I think 20 years worth of story telling is a good enough point to reboot at. Not a retelling of the same stories with the same characters, but just something different would be cool to me personally

In my opinion the greatest strength of the MCU is that they managed to create a living universe that can serve as a canvas for thousands of stories that influence each other, and for them to just throw everything away to start from scratch would be wasting 20 years of effort.

In my opinion. No. But! I do think they should be more open to interpretations outside the MCU. Batman is awesome because there are 38 Trillion interpretations possible. I don't think there should only ever be one Iron Man, or Thor Moving forward. There should be freedom in a cinematic landscape for new bold and interesting takes

Yes, I want T'Challa back, and now that they own the X-men it would be nice to see stories that resemble the comics a little more closely. Just saying.

I think I'd kinda like a mix, so a reboot with younger/ already established versions of old mcu characters, but rather they just are no longer the focus of the world and they just exist as well

The biggest issue with a live-action comic book universe is that there just isn't enough time to develop all the characters from scratch AND be able to properly tell stories like Secret Invasion that rely on all the characters having been established for a long time. Comics got away with it because they had a number of ongoing books all developing the same universe for decades, and nobody ever had to worry about the characters aging or moving on.

Somehow Wolverine fought with Cap in WWII even though he didn’t appear in comics until the 70s. Plenty of way to introduce characters into the MCU past without a reboot. Like Skrulls that have been on Earth since the 90s.

The level of disinterest I have in the MCU right now is honestly sad lol. If I told my past self 10 years ago that I wouldn’t care and even skip on some MCU movies I wouldn’t believe it

The thing about rebooting characters like Cap and Ironman is that they don’t need to be the main characters of a new MCU. Focus on the F4, X-Men, Spider-Man, etc. while having the avengers doing things in a more supportive role to the series.

I would enjoy a new dimension or the like for the MCU. If they did a reboot I wouldn't want to see them handle the same heroes the same way though, and certainly wouldn't want them to remake already existing movies. Give me an all new cast of heroes that take up the avengers mantle or something.

They should do 9 phases, 7 though 9 being about ff and x men then reboot with all characters owned by Disney at once

I'm not sure I care that much any more as long as they focus on making good movies first rather than trying to connect everything together. I'd like some stand alone movies set in their own universes, like DC did with Joker and The Batman, then they can find a way to connect them together later if they're good.

I'm thinking that the reboot is gonna be the multiverse is destroyed and rebuilt by someone like Franklin Richards like in the comic and the new MCU is has characters from different universes who survived but their memory is changed to where they've been in this universe the entire time, and it could be like an ending scene with flash scenes that has the new universes histyory and showing mutants and the new avengers recast so maybe like a scene with the new wolverine fighting in war with the new captain america or like flash cards of the new universe chapter opening and the old universes chapter closing

okay__.
